Miguel Bezanilla is a composer and orchestrator born in Seville and based in Los Angeles (USA). Over the past few years, Miguel has written additional music for the soundtracks of titles such as Star Wars: The Acolyte (2024) by Disney; Nope (2022) by Jordan Peele; Nightbooks (2021) and Dragon Age: Absolution (2022) by Netflix; and Allen v. Farrow (2021) and Fake Famous (2021) by HBO.
As an orchestrator, he has led and co-orchestrated film productions including Kangaroo Valley (2022) by Netflix, Witchboard (2024), and Emperor (2020), as well as video games such as Honor of Kings and Arknights. He was also part of the orchestration team for the Pulitzer Prize-winning opera Omar by Michael Abels and the Academy Award-winning film Coco by Disney-Pixar.
Additionally, Miguel developed a career as a violist, which today gives him the perspective of an orchestral musician in everything he writes. During those years, he performed with orchestras such as the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra under the baton of Daniel Barenboim in venues like London’s Royal Albert Hall and the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, as well as with the Royal Seville Symphony Orchestra.
Currently, Miguel is writing additional music for the Netflix series Sirens, along with scoring his second feature film as the lead composer. He received his training as a violist and composer at the Conservatories of Seville and Córdoba (respectively), and at Columbia College Chicago (USA), specializing in Film Scoring.
