Miguel Bezanilla is a composer and orchestrator born in Seville, Spain and based in Los Angeles. He composed additional music for Jordan Peele’s Nope (2022), Netflix’s Nightbooks (2021) and Dragon Age: Absolution (2022), HBO’s Allen v. Farrow (2021) and Unseen Pictures’ The American Society of Magical Negroes (2024).

He has been lead orchestrator and co-orchestrator of several media projects including Netflix´s documentary Kangaroo Valley (2022), A-Nation Media’s feature Witchboard, Sobini Films’ Emperor (2020), the video games Honor of Kings and Arknights and Mateo Messina’s Firelight concert (2015). Furthermore, he was part of the orchestration team for Michael Abels’ Pulitzer prize winner opera Omar (2022) and for Academy Award winning Disney-Pixar’s Coco.

Miguel has multiple credits as a lead composer; both for theatrical and concert hall productions. He wrote Madre Naturaleza (2016), an hour-long piece for orchestra and choir that premiered in front of an audience of 3,200 people. Additionally, he composed the feature film Green Summer (2020) by director Damon Griffin (winner of the Indiedance First Time Filmmaker Silver Award) and multiple short movies, including Carlos Prías’ Divina Niña (2017) and Saneliso (2018).

As a former viola performer, Miguel toured around the world with the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra (conducted by the 6 times Grammy Award winner Daniel Barenboim) performing in some of the best auditoriums in the world (including Royal Albert Hall in London and Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires). He also performed with the Seville Royal Symphony Orchestra and other orchestras and ensembles in the south of Spain for many years.

Miguel is currently working on his second feature film, while working hand in hand with composer Michael Abels in a major TV show.
